ADIDAS

During my time as a Colour and Materials Footwear Designer Intern for Adidas Core, I worked on a wide range of shoes. As a colour and materials designer it was my job to decide what colour and material the shoes would be made from after footwear designers finish the silhouettes of the shoes. For each season there is a selected number of materials to choose from that will suit the different styles that our department designed. There is also a selected number of colours for the season with some constants which carry over from previous seasons. Which colour and materials that were used depended on the brief given to me by project managers. Although I was able to change it if I felt there was a better choice to complement the design or target a certain customer. By the end of the season and my time as an intern, a lot of my designs went into production. An achievement I am very proud and was a massive step in my design career.
